Quick Catch-up

So since our last post a bunch has happened, the most exciting being that we have moved from Idaho - woohoo!!! My last day of work was Dec 16th and we were packed and out of there on the 19th. It is true that it takes longer to pack with a baby but she was such a trooper and slept a lot on the day that we needed her to. We are kind of slackers and didn't really start packing until the 18th so that was some pretty quick moving from us. Justin drove the Uhaul down to my parents that night while Elliette and I stayed with Annette and Theo so we could go to her Dr.'s apt the next morning. Her 4 months stats are 13lbs 3 oz (35%) and 25 inches (73%). The dr thinks they measured her wrong last time since she only grew 1 inch in 2 months. After that we went and got shots, she really hated her shots but as soon as I picked Ellie up she turned around and smiled at the nurse who pricked her so she made that ladies day knowing not all babies are mad at her all the time. We were supposed to finish coming down that night but because of those nasty snow storms we stayed one more night. We finally made it down and got ourselves ready for Christmas. On Christmas Eve my aunt and uncle and their kids came down and it is tradition that Santa shows up with one gift for everyone. We have all taken our turn to be Santa and no one really wanted to dress up this year so my mom and I found this cute little outfit and Elliette was Santa and I was her elf, she was so cute and Santa got to sit on everyone's lap this year for a change . Christmas was so much fun and Elliette had quite a haul. Thanks everyone for all her cute little gifts we love dressing her up in her cute clothes and bows and reading her those cute stories. After Christmas we ended up getting her a walker so that she could sit up and play with toys as well and she is LOVING that.
After Christmas Brit came down to visit so we got to see her a few times which was fun and we went and looked at reception centers. I am going to keep myself busy by making her invitations and her cake which I am very excited about.
Justin and I just chilled until Jan 9th when he had to start his school. I am loving being a stay at home mom and spending time with Elliette because she is just the cutest happiest little thing ever. She is also sleeping anywhere between 9 and 12 hours a night which is fabulous.
Also, my aunt just got married last weekend and I was able to make her cake which was a lot of work (only because I have issues and had a thought in my head and had to make it that way - she even left it up to me to how it looked so it was totally my fault) but turned out very pretty. I made the fondant look like it was pleated and hand made all of the flowers out of fondant with a little gum paste added, it was pretty sweet I will have to admit.

Also, my dad fell off the roof after Thanksgiving when he was putting up Christmas lights. He shattered his hip and had to have a partial hip replacement, broke another part of his femur, and dislocated his shoulder but is healing really quick so now he is up and moving on his own which is great.

happy holidays... finally.

Sorry about the late posts here is the happy holidays card that was made and supposed to go out first of January (at least it isn't quite Feb yet I guess)
